Features

The JQX-30A is a highly reliable and maintenance free search and rescue radar transponder and meets the requirements set by SOLAS. Shipboard GMDSS installations include Search and Rescue Radar Transponder (SART) devices which are used to locate a survival craft or distressed vessel. A SART transmits a encoded signal over a 9GHz band, which creates a series of dots on a rescuing ship's radar display, providing the exact location, which allows for an immediate response for search and rescue (SAR) efforts.

Giving Confidence

After the rescuing ship's radar detects the SART, a red light on the JQX-30A starts flashing intermittently, letting the survivors know they have been located. As the ship gets closer to the distressed location, the red light gradually changes from intermittent to continuous, indicating the rescuing ship is getting closer.

Highly Reliable

The SART can transmit of over 8 hours continuously, and the standby mode lasts up to 96 hours.

Space Saving Design

The JQX-30A is brightly-colored, lightweight and rugged, allowing for an easy fit. Its portable design allows it to be highly operational, suiting all types and tonnages of vessels, even on lifeboats and rafts.
