Features

The JAN-901M/701 Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) is newly developed in response to the huge demand of multi-functional displays for practical use of ECDIS. It is ergonomically designed to enhance the working environment and man/machine interfaces, providing continuous position and navigational safety information.

Multiple View Modes

The JAN-901M/701 ECR, ECO and EOO display two areas in different scales simultaneously to monitor the ship’s progress and destination or route. The display mode, course up or north up, in relative or true motion is operator selectable.

Radar Display

The JRC ECDIS JAN-901M ECR offers practical radar usage with ECDIS, more than just overlaying a rough radar image. The radar image has a high resolution when interfaced with JRC radars. The radar image does not hide the priority objects of vector charts, but overlays them on the radar image. At the same time, brilliance and clutter controls of the radar images continues to be operable.

Conning display

The JRC ECDIS JAN-901M ECO and ECR are capable of graphically displaying a variety of navigation information on the screen. All data input is collected from individual sensor and instruments, which are logically grouped and presented on screen, allowing mariners to view all necessary information at a glance. This results in more relaxing and secure operation. The ship's information is displayed in a Windows type format. Users can also customize the information layout.

Track Control System

The JAN-901M ECO and ECR achieves a highly reliable and efficient track control by interfacing to an adaptive auto pilot, conform to IEC62065 standards. Accurate track control significantly reduces the grounding rate. The smooth rudder control is safe and efficient.

Console design

The console is designed for ergonomic improvement of the working environment to prevent casualties related to human factors.

Tilting display

The display module is capable of tilting from 70degrees for standing operation to 50 degrees while sitting.

Console height

The console is extremely compact with a height of only 1100mm excluding the foundation. This maintains a greater range of visibility in both sitting and standing positions.

Operation

All primary functions are easily accessible using the track ball.
